A mandatory three days quarantine for Madinah visitors!


Madinah visitors’ quarantine is issued by The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah as guidelines for providing services to Umrah performers from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by Umrah companies and licensed travel agents outside the Kingdom, with the beginning of the reception of Umrah performers from various countries of the world. 

Quoting Okaz, a Saudi newspaper, “Muhammad Abdul Rahman Al Bijawi, The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for Visiting Affairs, affirmed the keenness of the concerned authorities in Medina to implement the highest standards of field services and the necessary preventive and health measures in all areas of reception, housing, awareness, transfer, and departure in Makkah and Madinah.”

Before going to the Kingdom, You must… 

According to the protocols issued by the ministry, the age of foreign pilgrims shall be between 18 and 50 years. The regulations stipulate that pilgrims must have a PCR medical test certificate showing that they are free from coronavirus, issued by a reliable laboratory in their country, not more than 72 hours from the time of taking samples until the time of departure to the Kingdom.

Saudi authorities are taking care of Al Madinah visitors 

Muhammad Abdul Rahman Al Bijawi said that the relevant authorities in Madinah have initiated the necessary measures to take care of the visitors upon their arrival at Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport, in accordance with the preventive measures and health protocols that the authorities are committed to implementing accurately, aiming to provide the best health services for its visitors. He also indicated that they must remain three days in quarantine at their accommodation in Madinah after their arrival. During which all needed housing and health check-ups will be provided for them after that the visitor can start their holy rituals and prayers in Al Madinah Mosque and Al Rawdah.

Al Bijawi explained that all these activities are carried out in high coordination between all governmental offices represented by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Health and Security departments, and the Prophet’s Mosque General Presidency Affairs, and are performed by highly qualified calibers, all for the sake of providing the worshipers and visitors with the best service and let them go back to their countries safely. 

These measures come within the keenness of the Kingdom’s leadership to provide the highest levels of safety and security for the visitors of the holy sites in Makkah and Madinah. Moreover, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah plays a large and extremely important role in these difficult times the world is going through due to the Covid 19 crisis.
