Interview with Makkah Hotel and Towers

During our presence at the 22nd Summit for Tourism, Hotels and Umrah Services, held in Cairo, Egypt on the 4th and the 5th of January 2022, we met with Mr. Mohamed Rashad, Director of Sales Department at Makkah Hotel and Towers, to talk about the hotel’s services and preparations for the month of Ramadan 1443 AH.

Would you tell us more about the hotel?
Welcome, Makkah Hotel and Towers is one of the oldest hotels in Makkah. It is nearly 25 years old and is located directly on the courtyard of Al Haram. The number of rooms is approximately 1737 rooms and suites.
The hotel offers its guests from all over the world high-quality services, and we have more than 7 different restaurants to satisfy all tastes. We also designed a special place for children, which is one of the most important services that we are distinguished by. We also provide airport transport service through reputable transportation companies.

We have conducted an interview with Makkah Hotel and Towers at the beginning of the pandemic, what has changed since this last time?
It was a difficult period for everyone, but thanks to Allah, we were one of the hotels that took the initiative to abide by the precautionary measures announced by the Ministry of Health very strictly, which led to zero violations since the beginning of the pandemic until today. Our team is highly trained to team ensure that all precautionary measures are implemented, updated and we also have a non-tolerant policy against violators.

We have dedicated one to two floors for isolation in case of any outbreak, although we have not had any reported Covid-19 case up till this moment in our premises. It is mandatory at Makkah Hotel and Towers to submit the immunization certificate or recent PCR test before entering the premises and this is applied to employees and guests. Up till this moment we haven’t let go of any of the precautionary measures, although many places have eased them a bit, in order to preserve the security and safety of our guests.

How would you rate your experience with on umrahme portal?
We consider umrahme a success partner not just an OTA. The team is highly professional, and we are always happy to deal with them. You have a clear vision and policy – and I personally follow the technical solutions that you provide first-hand.
